The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, “I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak.” Ezekiel 34:16
“This painting is based on the parable in Matthew 18 and Luke 15. The Good Shepherd goes to look for his sheep who has become helpless and stuck. He searches until the lost one is found, then carries it back to safety. I loved the challenge of painting this with such a limited palette. I know what it is to have wandered to a dangerous place and know too , what it is to be rescued by the Good Shepherd!” Lynne Pugh
