“At Easter this year, during lockdown, I was contemplating the wonder of the resurrection and having read the account of the women visiting the tomb early in the morning, I felt the urge to portray the empty tomb using wool felt. I love working with felt because it is so organic and unpredictable yet gives a beautiful effect. My aim was to show the empty tomb in a garden setting and the dawn breaking, to reflect the breaking in of new life.” Jean Mintoft
