Description
“As John and I chatted over a cup of tea, we asked the question, “Where does our hope come from?” Deep down we both knew the answer; but it’s always good to talk together about Jesus. John was on the cusp of moving to a new home, in a new neighbourhood and into a new church. How did he feel about the challenges ahead? And how could I paint an image of encouragement for him that summed up how he felt?
Matthew 25:31-46 was at the heart of his new church’s ministry, reaching out into the community. My painting sums up the “Hope” that John saw though outreach into the community. Jesus says, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Mark Wiggin
