“This painting is based on a local scene and was inspired by those weather conditions when bright light suddenly breaks through thick dark cloud. I have experienced personally the emotional effect that this can have on us. It is as if suddenly God draws back the curtains and we get a glimpse of heaven. Immediately hope rises within us, even though everything around looks dark. It is like a visual aid, showing us in a graphic way that God is still there on the throne, caring for us. It always reminds me of Jesus promise “ And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20” Jean Mintoft
