“Trinity” by Sue Newham

“God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit are at the heart of the Christian faith. I have struggled to understand how one divine entity can have three distinct personalities, but struggling to understand has enriched and deepened my appreciation of who God is and how he loves. A portion of this divine mystery is revealed in the passage below in Matthew 28.  I have painted a similar Trinity picture before, but wanted to paint a different design, using the skills I have developed since I painted the first one twelve years ago.”  Sue Newham

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. The painting is oil on a canvas primed with white acrylic paint. The outer edges are textured using an acrylic heavy body gel The canvas measures 60cm square, is 2cm deep and  is painted white around the edges. It will be sent out from the artist in the UK.
