“The potter” by Jean Mintoft

“Throughout my Christian life, I have frequently meditated on the theme of God shaping us as pots in order to fulfil his purposes. The scriptures often use the metaphor of God as the Potter.  Isaiah 64:8 says, “We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” And also Jeremiah 18:6 – “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand.”

I have always been amazed at how skilled potters are at forming articles for both everyday use and beauty (see 2 Timothy 2:20). How much more skilled is our Heavenly father at forming each one of us, totally uniquely, for His specific purposes!” Jean Mintoft

The painting is acrylic paint on stretched canvas and measures 40cm squared. It is not currently framed. The painting will be sent out from the artist in the UK.
