“This painting is based on a pencil drawing I did of my daughter protected by the hand of God when she was small. The hand was inspired by a photo of a sculpture based on Isaiah 49:16, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands”.

The original drawing sold straight away, and I have printed out many copies of it over the years as people felt it expressed the sense of God’s protection. This reaction came from both Christians and unbelievers. I felt it was time to paint it in oils and attempt to make it as near to the original as possible. The expression on the child’s face is almost exactly as it was in the drawing. (My daughter is now 45 years old!) There are many Bible verses expressing God’s protection of his people. ” Jean Mintoft

The painting is painted with oils onto stretched canvas. It is unvarnished.  The painting itself measures 40cm by 40cm. The painting will be sent out from the artist in the UK.
