“In the summer, I saw some paintings by a modern artist, Henry Jabbour. I was struck by the emotion his very loose and vibrant works depicted. This theme of a mother’s love for her baby is close to my heart because I was adopted immediately after my birth and never bonded with my birth mother. But God has adopted me into His family and this painting expresses His love and acceptance of me as His child. One lady who saw it felt it expressed the love of Mary for Jesus; Madonna and child. I have previously painted the same subject in a traditional style, but this version is influenced by the bright, lively style of Henry Jabbour.” Jean Mintoft

The painting is painted with oils onto stretched canvas. It is unvarnished.  It has a narrow black border around edge of the canvas.The painting measures 40cm by 40cm. The painting will be sent out from the artist in the UK.
