“I have felt overwhelmed by the sad state of our world and our inability to live well with others and with the environment.

I felt that God brought the verses in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 into my mind. ‘“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.“

As I painted, the subject challenged me. Did I really believe that God could heal the earth? Was I prepared to seek God humbly and pray for his blessing for the world? The verse is a challenge to us to get on our knees and pray. We know that, since God created the world, He is also able to fix it.”  Sue Newham

The painting is high quality artist oil paint on canvas. The canvas measures 60cm x 42cm. It is framed in a floating box frame style with  a narrow white border. The total framed size is 63.5cm x 45cm.  It will be sent out from the artist in the UK.
