God of all comfort by Philip McMullen

“Many Christians suffer from depression. They are not alone for they are comforted by the God of all comfort often through the love, care and support of fellow Christians. Sometimes this comfort is direct as I have experienced. This is represented by an Angel offering comfort. Ultimately the picture is about hope and comfort during hard times of life, whatever the cause  may be. We do not suffer alone we are ministered to through the Lord hearing our prayers for comfort, healing, restoration and renewal.”      Philip McMullen

The verse in 2 Corinthians 1:3 was Philip’s inspiration for this picture. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

You can see a short video in which Philip talks about his drawings here.

The picture is coloured pencil on Bristol board, with added embossing, metal flake and gold leaf. It measures 25cm by 23cm.It is unframed.

The artist will send the picture out from his studio in the UK.
