This painting was inspired by seeing some recent detailed photographs of galaxies deep in space. It made me marvel once again at the wonder of God’s creations. How could anything as beautiful and complex just “happen”?! I wanted to give glory back to God in my interpretation of the galaxy.
The verse “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” immediately came to mind when I saw the photographs (Psalm 19:1) and also Psalm 8:3-4 “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have set in place, what is man…”
The painting is in acrylic, size 40cm x 65cm on stretched canvas.
