“In the past, I did sketches of some of the stories in scripture. More recently, I have  made paintings based upon the sketches, including this one.  This painting is based upon the story of the sinful woman who brought an alabaster  jar of perfume which she poured over Jesus’ feet. Luke 7: 36-50. It depicts the moment when Jesus offered her forgiveness.  “Then Jesus said, ‘Your sins are forgiven’.” The figures are timeless and representative of humankind in general. The style is based on the works of Henry Jabbour.”    Jean Mintoft

The painting is painted with acrylic paint onto stretched canvas. It is unvarnished.  The painting itself measures 46cm by 36cm and is unframed. The painting will be sent out from the artist in the UK.
