“I tend to chatter to God and that’s when I get a sense of God right beside me, being the friend he promised to be. I also spend time in meditational prayer and during this time I am aware of God’s awesome power and majesty. When I paint, I feel as if I am actually using the medium God gave me to communicate with Him. When we choose to pray, it is a humbling thought that the creator of all things comes to us in whichever guise we need at that moment. He may come in awesome power or as a personal friend. He also provides us with gifts to use to communicate in our own personal way. The grace that God shows us in giving abundantly is a great subject to paint about.” Rebecca Newell
