Mark Wiggin says, “I was gripped by the account of Moses coming face to face with God in the burning bush which is told in Exodus 3 and that was the inspiration for this painting.”

Mark says, ” I was inspired by the verses in Acts 2, which describe the day of Pentecost:   When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”  Philippians 4 : 6

In answer to Elijah’s prayer that God would show his power as the One True God, fire fell from heaven – a sign of His victory over the powers of darkness. Visible fire fell on the disciples as they prayed for the Holy Spirit’s baptism, which Jesus had promised them. Sometimes we forget the power of our prayers.
