The Holy Trinity and the bride by Emma Pilkington

The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, “As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.” Isaiah 62 : 5
“During a tent mission, I received the idea for this image in prayer before the event and painted it live over the two days. Many people were encouraged by it and found it interesting and inspiring. Some asked why Jesus had a Jewish prayer shawl. Others wanted to know who “The Bride” was. It felt like a really easy way to talk about the Christian faith. Many people from other countries live in the area and were intrigued by the middle eastern feel of the picture.”                      Emma Pilkington

Our Father by Shawn Alyea

“Christ is in conversation with the Father as he gazes into Heaven. His image is upon a black background with a thin backlight of white tracing his figure. Our Father is a foundational prayer for the faith. Anything we want to pray about can be contained by this powerful prayer. Christ allows us an intimate glance into the deeply personal conversations he has with Abba, our Daddy.”  Shawn Alyea

The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6 : 9-10

Casting nets by Shawn Alyea

This painting blurs sea and land. The storms of life sometimes overwhelm our lives. In these times, it becomes clear that peace can only be found in Christ’s presence.  In this picture, we see Christ casting nets in the midst of the storms of life that he uses to draw us to him. He is our only salvation. Christ invited the disciples to cast their nets too and said he would make them fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19)

The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19 : 1

Fire in the desert by Joanna Ray

The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.  Guide me in your truth and teach me,  for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in you all day long.”

This image is based on the text in Nehemiah 9, where God guided the Israelites day and night. “Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the wilderness. By day the pillar of cloud did not fail to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take.”

You light my way by Colin Joseph Burns

The verse on the back of the card reads, “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path” Psalm 119 : 105 “This is one of a series of works which depict light emanating from somewhere in the distance. The viewer is drawn into the painting though the forest, moving from darkness towards the light which represents the Holy Spirit.   I love the colour blue and in this style of painting it allows the use of strong colour while maintaining the vibrancy and transparency of the paint.” Colin Joseph Burns

I know the plans by Rebecca Newell

The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29 : 11

‘I have plans to prosper you and not to harm you’ can seem hard for some people to grasp. I work with a lot of broken people and recognise that I am broken myself in some areas. Trusting that God will make good what is broken does not always mean that you will receive physical healing, but does lead to spiritual healing – a much more important part of who you are.”   Rebecca Newell
