Shepherds by Paul Robertson
Luke's gospel is my main inspiration for this picture, painted in 2010, as part of a series about angels involved in the Christmas story. I had to make sure that I did not contradict what the Bible says, but felt free to interpret the scene as I imagined it.
The verse on the back of the greetings card reads, "I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." Luke 2 : 10
