A seminar and meeting for Artisans and others

Veritasse provides good opportunities for networking through the web site and newsletters but perhaps there is a need for Artisans to meet occasionally. I understand that Veritasse doesn’t have the resources to make this happen but I would be willing to put some time to it should there be sufficient interest.

Using art in the community.

Does anyone have examples of churches using art in the community, either for outreach or to encourage working in partnership with other organisations?

Our church, King’s Church, Uckfield, has either a float or a walking part in the Uckfield Carnival each year. It is a recognised part of our outreach and we always give out Alpha invitations which are linked with our theme of the year. We encourage everyone to be involved in some way, though not everyone can walk. This year we had very colourful yellow, orange and red costumes and did lots of dancing and singing.
