What a joy it is to lift brush to canvas to share a passion for love in our Lord Jesus Christ! God inspires such wonder in the world around us and the people who walk through this life with us. It is amazing to see how much God can use the works of our hands to celebrate Him. I work in acrylic and usually in layers. The paintings from my ‘Shining Through’ series show a background which is pulled and worn looking – representing God’s love as something ancient. The next layer is bright and colorful – God’s love is something new every day. The images above this are bits and pieces of life, created in a sheer way so that the light of God’s love shines through.

We have all had those times - those terrible times - when we just feel broken. We feel stripped bare of everything which brings us peace. It is in these times that we pray so very hard for God to come and rescue us and He pours his grace down over us, clothing us in love and peace.

Dance in the light by Cindy Norris

She twirls and spins and moves her feet. Her joy in the love of our Lord is complete. For the tomb, once closed, has now opened wide. And our Lord, which it held, is no longer inside.
